PARENTS AND KIDS, who really has reason to complain?

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT!

1. You spend the first two years of their life teaching them to walk and
talk. Then you spend the next sixteen telling them to sit down and shut
up.

2. Grandchildren are G-d's reward for not killing your own children.

3. Mothers of teens now know why some animals eat their young.

4. Children seldom misquote you.

In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said.

5. The main purpose of holding children's parties is to remind yourself
that there are children more awful than your own.

6. We childproofed our homes, but they are still getting in.

ADVICE FOR THE DAY:

Be nice to your kids.
They will choose your nursing home one day.

AND FINALLY:

IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF TENSION AND YOU GET A HEADACHE, DO WHAT IT SAYS ON
THE ASPIRIN BOTTLE:

"TAKE TWO ASPIRIN" AND "KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN"!!!!!

Comments:

Then we need it most, right?

asa parent I sometimes complain but of course stop myself when I realize the kids have enriched my life

I nodded my head to everyone of these....

:) Got me smiling even after being up all night, and im not talking that hazzy spacy not exactly in this world kinda smile, but a real true genuine smile. Good post :)

some quotes to go with that;

"Having a child is surely the most beautifully irrational act that two people in love can commit."

"If evolution really works, how come mothers only have two hands?"

"People who say they sleep like babies usually don't have them."

"Any child can tell you that the sole purpose of a middle name is so he can tell when he's in trouble."

"You can learn many things from children. How much patience you have, for instance."

"You know your children are growing up when they stop asking you where they came from and refuse to tell you where they're going."

Blog ya later!

Where did you find Baby Blues??? When I try reading it online, the site doesn't let me see any new ones...

Hey Brownsvillegirl- You can read all the baby blue comics on this website

lol cute. I think the first one was the best.

Without question children can be the biggest source of aggravation in ones list, however, they are definitely the primary source for joy and fulfillment in our lives

That made me chuckle.

Very funny! and True!

LOL, thanks

LOL...This is so true.

hehe... definitely something to think about!!

LOL
Very cute..

Aint that the tooth!

Patt-I can't leave comments on your blog anymore, you've activated "members only"

Uh oh I relate to the posts about younger children... what oh what am I going into as they get older? Yikes! LOL thanks!

I had to laugh with every quote you wrote. But they make up for all of that the moment they say something sweet or touching or even just hug you really strong. How come it is so easy to forget how stressful they are sometimes when it takes so little to make you happy and smiley again?

a few days late on finally checking out this post, but it is just what i needed after a trying day with my two little ones!!!
all day i muttered to myself, "but really, they are a blessing, they are a BLESSING!!!!!"

Despite all this, I SO want my own kids NOW.
