The main page of ‘the Hunger site’ features a quote from the Talmud.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that on such an internationally prominent site.
Does anyone know whether the webmaster or initiator of this great site is Jewish?
By the way does anyone know whether these donations are real? I mean does something actually happen when I click?

Now there's a different quote. Maybe they use a different one everyday. That's pretty cool though that they used it.

I don't know if a donation is actually sent out or not when you click. I hope it is.
I looked up who owns the domain name and sure enough...

Hesterberg, Greg
600 University
Suite 1000
Seattle, WA 98101
Phone: 206 268 5400
Fax: 206 264 8448

Are you surprised?
Great Quote!
I think someone told me once that this site is connected the a government site...
Ivn-Yes the quote changes frequently but luckily I got a snapshot of it. It's a rotating system I think, so it'll show up again .

Jewspeak-Well I've known this site for years and never saw an indication it might be run by a Jew in particular, it certainly isn't a shock as the whole concept of charity has it's root in Judaism.

Shop-If it is, I think that might be an indication the donations are for real.
